Hanita Dagan, a Registered Psychologist (1983), is a member
of the Psychologists Association of Alberta, and the College
of Alberta Psychologists. She is also an American Association
for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) approved supervisor.
In private practice since 1984, she has extensive expertise
in counseling individuals, couples and families.
For over a decade she was a psychologist at an internationally
renowned psychology clinic, receiving specialized training
and supervision from many of the world’s most eminent
therapists.
Subsequently, Hanita was the chief psychologist at an
Alberta treatment centre, directing the assessment and
treatment of adolescents and their families. She still
consults in this field today.
Hanita has continued an independent practice in psychology
in Calgary. She brings to Fong Ailon her comprehensive
experience working with individuals, couples and families.
Her special interest is in relationship counseling, depression,
anxiety and stress/performance related concerns (sleep
disorders, phobias, headaches, PTSD and critical incident
stress debriefing). As an assessor, Hanita has extensive
experience in the assessment of the psychological impact
of personal injury.
Hanita has also been called to the Provincial Court of
Alberta, Family and Youth Division, as an expert witness
in matters pertaining to sexual abuse and child guardianship.
She has lectured at the University level, and is presently
involved in post graduate teaching and training.
Hanita is an active member of the Calgary community, and
holds many positions, including that of past president
on a number of charitable organization boards.
