SHELBY LEIDING

Shelby is a Registered Psychologist with experience in formal assessment, including psycho-educational assessments, parenting capacity assessments, and psychological or diagnostic assessments. She is skilled in assessing for learning challenges, giftedness, developmental delays, diagnostic queries, and complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Shelby is committed to providing comprehensive assessments that support individuals and families to understand their strengths and needs and provide personalized, meaningful recommendations.

Shelby completed her Masters of Counselling Psychology at Athabasca University and is currently completing her Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Psychology. She is a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Shelby has over 10 years’ experience working with complex young people and families. In addition to her work in private practice, she is a senior leader in a large non-profit organization, overseeing therapeutic residential care and clinical services for young people and families involved with Children and Family Services. She is also a part-time faculty member at City University where she teaches child and adolescent counselling.
